I cannot find any info for charges on shotshell loadings. Does anyone have some loads?

Are you using Speer shot caplets or building your own? If you are using the Speer caplets there is load data right on the box.

I use the Speer caplets for the .38 Special and I use #9 shot over 5.0gr W231. (which is on the box)

I've loaded the .44 Speer shot capsules into .44 Special cases, I used Red Dot powder but I can't recall the exact charge weight. I DO remember that it was a very light load, the more powder I used, the more screwed up the patterns got.

I was using the load to kill rats around our barn, the greatest improvement in effectivness came when I purchased a box of 12 gauge shells loaded with #12 shot. I cut a few open, loaded up the #12s and almost doubled the number of kills I made per shot compared to the #9s I had been using. It's a whole lot easier on the barns structural integrity as well.

.38 or .357 case, cardboard wads punched out of thin cardboard, #9 shot...

I use a charge of 3 grs of Bullseye, 2 thin cardboard wads push down tight on the powder, fill the case with #9 chilled shot to 1/8" of top of case, seat 1 thin cardboard wad tight on shot. then on top of overshot wad finish filling case with a yellow wood glue...let set up over night...good pattern's at 15 feet..

38spl 3grs of Bullseye styrofoam wad pressed down to powder, fill case with #8 shot leaving room for another styrofoam wad, sealed with candle wax.

This is the Only way to fly!!

Proven load data, better patterns, and no bore leading from bare shot.

Those .44 capsules are the bomb. I've shot many a flying critter from horseback with them from a 4" M29. Really, not one miss/fail as I kept/stomped them up close to include pheasant and grouse.
