Optional re-chamberings for a WSSM?

Hi all,
I have a Winchester M70 that came from the factory chambered in .25WSSM. I was curious what other chamberings are possible by only changing the barrel? Could I swap out just the barrel and have a .300WSM?
Thanks!

Bolt face size is the same.
But it is doubtful the magazine length and bolt throw would handle the longer cartridges.

What's your issue with the caliber, ammo availability? The 25WSSM is basically a short action 25-06, and is no slouch. As rcmodel noted, the magnum bolt face coupled with the 1/2" shorter short action really limits your choices, and will not work for the WSM cartridges unless you want a single shot.
Sell it or stock up on components (cases) for reloading, as it is a great long range cartridge.
