Iíve been reading the comments about the Osprey scopes. I have been a CNC Machinist and Welder for over 33 years. My hobby is building rifles and I donít mean that I just buy components and put them together. I machined the lower on my AR from a ceramic impingement casting and engraved it with my logo on a CNC mill. The 7.62 x 51 FN FAL that I ordered the Osprey 10-40 x50 scope from Sportsman Guide yesterday was cut in half at the upper receiver when got it. I did not machine the upper receiver but did everything else to it including set the headspace. This is a first time posting to this or any other form, as I donít usually put my ďstuffĒ out there. As soon as I get the scope and get it up and going I will give an unbiased opinion on it. My machinist back ground usually helps me spot a P.O.S. right away. I understand that some people only buy the best and others canít afford it. For those that canít afford the best it might be nice to hear from someone who is willing to look at this scope with a different mind set.
