My new 650 is being shipped today and should be here early next week. I thought that in the mean time I would clean up & rearrange my reloading area. I'm also thinking about building a new bench to mount the 650 on. I ordered the "strong mount" with the 650. What is the preferred bench height to have for the 650 with that mount?

Enos has some info on this.

My bench is 37" tall and I have the 650 only mount, seems perfect to me.

A few things to consider: Do you plan to stand or sit when reloading?
Do you have the 650 coming with a case feeder?
Since you ordered the Strong Mount(that's what I have) you have to be aware of the distance to the ceiling. I'm 5'11" and I sit and stand as times + I have the Strong Mount and my bench is at 42". It seems to work for me; although I have to get on a stool to load brass in the case feeder.

My bench is 36" and I have the 650 specific strong mount. I am 6' 2" and it fits me pretty well. I can stand but I also have a 30" wooden stool I kind of half sit half lean back on and it is perfect for me to see in the cases as I am loading.

My bench height is 40" and I'm using the 650 only mount. Congrats on your new 650 !!

Right now I have two different benches I can use, one is 39" and the other is 30". I'm thinking I might go with the lower one. I think that way I can sit or stand while running it. No case feeder on the top ($$) so ceiling height is no problem.

THANKS much for the info.

I have the 550 and it's mounted on a 30" high top and mounted directly to the top. I sit while reloading and works well.

If you have a solid bench I found the "strong mount" to have much more flex than direct mounting.
