Yesterday I was loading some 45 acp. Thank you bds for the recipe, 185gr HBRN over 5.5grn W-231. After test firing the first four, I went back and loaded 8 more, this time to test accuracy. Standing at ten yards I touch the first one off, OUCH !! , I forgot my ear protection :what: . Like I said, I need to pay closer attention to ALL the details next time :banghead: It was raining most of the day so I didn't get a chance to check them with the crony. My first impressions are, they will be just fine for plinkng.

I like a smaller amount of WST under that bullet for a light load, but W-231 should work great as well.

I has been a long time since I touched off a round with no ear protection. I have little things to help me remember. I cannot afford any more ear damage.

Do that once at an indoor range and you'll never forget, outdoors isn't even close to that loud.
