I can't remember for sure, but it's either 12 or 13. The full sized P226 holds 15. Watch-Six

Mecgar made some 15 round 228 mags that fit flush. You can also replace a pre-ban 228's follower with the follwer from a 10 round mag and it will hold 15 rounds.

It also takes SIG 226 magazines FWIW.
