Which Remington Trigger is better the X-Mark Pro, 40-X, or some other trigger?

I am not a fan of the mark x pro, feels like a lawyer trigger. Never touched a 40x trigger. But there are darn sure some fine aftermarket trigger out there. I have a 15 year old timney that has never waved from its 1 1/2lb setting and several Rifle basic trigger set just over 1lb and just under 1lb. All great triggers.
This might be the trigger page to help you -http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=12531/Product/REMINGTON-700-40X-XP-100-ADJUSTABLE-TRIGGERS

Can't vote since only know my X-Mark Pro on my new evil cerberus remington rifle. I actually don't mind it. It is a bit on the heavy side but breaks consistently and crisply. No takeup or overtravel that I can discern, but I am no trigger expert. I would guess my trigger pull is 4-5 lbs. Which I think is good for a hunting gun. Not good for a target rifle of course.

As far as stock triggers go, the 40X trigger is much better than the X-Mark Pro. A Jewel trigger is nicer than both of the others. Shilen or Timney are also nicer than both of the stock triggers, but not as nice as the Jewel.

While I thought the X-Mark was a good trigger it was the ONLY thing worth owning on that POS Remington 700 rifle I bought (never again!!) There are several really good triggers out there including the Savage Accutrigger as well as Ruger and Marlin's knock offs, but the absolute best factory trigger I have ever seen anywhere is the one Sako/Tikka use, absolute 0 grit and 0 creep. I hate to use the word perfect, but I cannot find another word to describe something that has every positive attribute with no negatives.

i like the x-mark but it took some time and tinkering to get them where i want. i actually prefer the older remington triggers. i also like the accu trigger but i prefer more conventional designs.
