ISO1600 June 14, 2012, 10:07 AM i'm sure the cost is due to production volume. TurtlePhish June 14, 2012, 03:29 PM anyone know if OAL would be okay with a butler creek folder? OAL is federally measured extended, so chances are it's well over 26". State laws may vary. mac66 June 15, 2012, 09:00 AM The compact (is that what they call the youth rifle now?) barrel is 16" as opposed to 18" for the standard carbine. The only difference when swapping it into a different stock is the 2" difference in bbl length. DesertFox June 15, 2012, 09:01 AM Highly recommended and preferred by 7 out of 10 dentists. JT'sDad June 15, 2012, 06:00 PM I bought a Ruger 10/22 CRR -compact- for my son. I liked the shorter barrel so much I found one a guy had taken of his new rifle and I put it on my 10/22. Easy to swap barrels. It fit right into my Ramline Winter Camo stock I found on fleabay.
