So often, it is difficult to find data for a certain powder/ bullet / gun combo.
It would be nice to have a place where we could post real chrono results. People could see and compare real world results , not just " i loaded xxx, with xx gr powder, and it should be doing xxx FPS"

Well not just for handloads but for factory ammunition too.

I know since getting my CCW I spend a lot of time scouring the web looking for real world velocity numbers from actual firearms for various SD loadings.

True enough, but in addition to the handloading forum, it isn't hard to find using the search function. For example, I searched "9mm Chrony" and got like 15 relevant hits.

I could see where this MIGHT be a good thing for a sticky or something, but even then, there is so much load data and so many calibers that I think it would be unruly.

Finally, in what is absolutely my own opinion and not necessarily one of the forum in general, the other problem with adding a forum like this is one of safety. Any jerk can post crappy load data, you know?

I certainly understand about crappy data. That is one reason I wanted a centralized place to post documented data. Instead of someone just posting that he loaded so and so and it "shoots great", all posts here would be backed up by chrono data, and type of gun
