Anyone here own one and are you satisfied with it? Received mine a while back, mounted it on a G17, shooting 147gr ammo and it is loud as heck. Not exactly what I had in mind when I purchased a suppressor.

I use my Osprey 45 on my 9mm Glock 17 with a Lone Wolf barrel and with 147gr ammo I hear much difference compared to 230gr .45ACP through my FNP 45 or SIG TACOPS 1911.

All are very comfortable to shoot without earpro.

My osprey 45 can is VERY ammo sensitive. Some ball ammo is loud as heck, like .410 shotgun loud almost. And other ammo is similar to my suppressed subsonic .22's. Also, run some water in it and shake it out, and give that a try. Its ridiculously quiet wet. For me the Russian new ball ammo is super quiet. UMC Remington ball ammo = loud.

Shoot it wet

Did it today. Boy that sure is a big difference, between wet and dry. I guess 5 CC's of water makes a noticable difference. Still not a quiet as my YHM 308 suppressor.

I have an Osprey 9mm and shooting misc. 115gr ammo through a Glock 19, I found it pretty quiet.

I have both the YHM .308 and the Osprey .45....shooting 147 gr American Eagle after doing the "dip and shake" method of puting water in it, puts it close to the realm of movie/.22 pistol quiet. I can shoot indoors without earpro (if I'm alone) Not even in the same league as the .308. Which to me sounds like a 10/22.

I have shot a friend's .45 Osprey (shooting .40 through it) and it was Hollywood quiet. Literally sounded like a pellet gun. We were shooting it wet, though.
