Hello all, Tantal questions

Hello everyone, I have a Polish Tantal rifle, and I have the parts kit minus a couple key parts. I know that they made a longer barrel version for a LMG role, taking the 45 round mags, of which I have 2 mags, I have wanted to build a Tantal with a 20 inch barrel. I am not sure, but I think this might even make some of the 60-70 grain ammo perform even better.

Does anyone know where I might find one of these longer barrels? I have tried GM and Apex, and a few other smaller companies. The 5.45 just isn't that common, most still turn out all sorts of 7.62 barrels.

Saiga makes one. Gets roughly 120fps faster with 7N6 ammo.

You looking for JUST a barrel? Might have to have one made special order by Krieger or E.R. Shaw or something. I don't think there are any companies out there making 20" Tantal barrels.

I once saw an add fr an RPK 74 that took the 45 round mags, came with 2 of them, and a bipod. I think it was the replacement for the 7.62 version of the same rifle. If I remember right, the barrel was 21. some odd inches.

I woulda snapped it up had i had the money. I dont know if the gas system would need to be lengthened or not. I would guess they would want everything but the barrel to be interchangeable. I would like to do it but dont have the skills myself.
Not sure on the sights, but i would likely use a variable power up to a 6 or so scope. nothing fancy. I would love to see the range i could get out of that little bullet.

Also, all I have found from saiga were the 16.3 inch barrel.
