Question on my Ruger P95

i just bought this used from a guy. works fine. but the slide has a purpleish/plum tint to it. is this normal? it has the rail and is the all black version.

The slide is blued steel, so sometimes it can take on that type of appearance. You only get a more definite all out black appearance from coatings such as polymer/paint, tennifer/melonite, etc.

Basically, its fine. Shoot and enjoy.

Sometimes very hardened steel will not "take" bluing well and give it that appearance.

ive seen them right out of the box like that. its perectly normal. i wouldnt worry about it. they are good pistols. wished i kept mine
