Any opinions on the RRA AR-15. I'm going to buy the upper and lower separate. Is 250.00 for the lower and 425.00 for the A-2 16 inch upper a good deal?

I usually use Sable Co. (http://www.sableco.net/id21.htm) for a guage on RR prices. I also order from him as much as possible.
CAR A2 Upper Half with 16" Chrome Moly barrel, and 1:9 twist. Your choice of CAR or Mid length handguards................$392.00
A2/M4 Upper with Chrome lining and CAR Handguards...$443.00
Add about $15 for shipping. These are complete uppers. The lower price is for the M4 profile barrel, faux flash supressor and of course chrome lined.
So if your price includes Chrome lining and M4 profile barrel, then yes, it is a price.
$250 is a good price for the lower if it is a Complete lower.
You aren't going to realize any real benefits over purchasing a complete rifle unless you are spacing out the purchases. Right now you are at $675.00, the price of a new rifle. At the last gunshow here in Panama City they had NIB Bushys for $699.

Actually, by purchasing them seperately, you skip paying excise tax on the upper.
RRA is good stuff.

RRA is one of my current favorites.
But a word of caution (and I'm not saying ANYTHING about any specific dealer) I'd order direct. Online specials of RRA and Bushmaster uppers etc. often contain non spec bolts and such.
I know a guy who bought a RRA upper for a real good price online and it had a DPMS bolt, a carry handle from someone else and knockoff non spec handguards.

RRA makes really nice stuff and that price is on par with the rest I have seen. You can also try Pete from New Hampshire on the AR15.com for sale board.

That's why I order from a source out of my state. :D

Thanks guys. I'm getting it from a local gun shop and have seen the stuff first hand.
Thanks again for the advice.
