Had Ahrends make a set of custom stocks from the same wood as the presentation case.
They'll eventually go on a Royal Blue 1911 currently at the Colt Custom Shop, but in the mean time the 9mm Commander is showing off a little.

Here's a nice set Kim made for my Ultra Carry II. I really like his work, several of my S&W revolvers sport his stocks. Fit, finish and performance are superb.

Gorgeous grips on a nicely blued gun. What else can you ask for?

thanks, foghorn, but wait till you see them on Royal Blue:what:
It's gonna be a few months, but it'll be worth the wait.

Your set looks great on that Commander and I am sure it will be awesome on the one you have them planned for. Nice choice!
I recently got my first set of Ahrends grips on a S&W 66 revolver and love the look and feel. I don't think I have ever had a grip change acctually make me be able to have the sights perfectly lined up every time I draw before now. They really know what they are doing, beautiful as well as functional.
