Gentlemen,

I've bee obsessed lately with Destroyer carbines. Please share your experiences with this weapon. And if someone is willing to let one go for under $300, I'll gladly take it off your hands

Hope to gear interesting opinions and experiences.

Thanks in advance.

I have. No ones going to part with one for $300.

I think I paid $89 for mine in the late 1980s. They go for $400+ these days. I shoot 38 Super ammo in mine. Seems to work fine.

I have one that I picked up at a gun show for $250. I'm glad I bought it because its a lot of fun to shoot.

Its very accurate with light recoil and a fast action. I can shoot it almost as fast as a semi auto and still be accurate with it at 50 yards. Its also accurate at 100 yards thanks to the sights but the bullet drops a lot at that range.

If you want extra magazines for this rifle, Sarco has them for about $6-$7 dollars. One thing I learned with mine is 38 super 1911 magazines don't work with 9 Largo ammo. You can load the magazine but the Largo round is a little too long and the bullet nose will rub on the magazine. Some will feed ok but some will jam in the magazine.

I've had one for a couple of years. Fun little toys. Not especially well made but fun to play with. Mine is in 9mm Largo. I have a Star model M in the same caliber and load for them using Starline 9 Largo or .38 ACP brass. My Star shoots .38 Super just fine but the Destroyers bolt face will not accept the larger Super rim. I shoot mainly 7.0 grains of Power Pistol and the Laser Cast 124 grain cast bullet through them.

Good luck finding one for yourself. They are out there, just pricey.

A smith charged me $20 to open the face a tad for the Super rim.
