I have a WASR, anyone know what the procedure on a replacement is? Does it require a gunsmith? Also, the barrels I've found are in the 140-200 range. Is this the way it is or am I missing something?

Assuming it was barreled properly in the first place.

You need to drill the rivets out.
Then press the barrel out of the trunnion block with a 12-ton hydraulic press.

Then press the new barrel back in, and re-rivet it in place.

I don't know what a new barrel costs.
Why do you need one?

No rivets need to be drilled. For the front sight base there are 2 pins, same with the front gas block. The rear gas block is set with one larger pin and the barrel pin is all you have left. Then press the barrel out, and replace. Barrels run from $60 (copes) to $110 (apex) for romanian chromed barrels.

it's keyholing/tumbling. And out of warranty...

If it's a WASR, it might be cheaper and easier to just buy a new one...
