Oddball CZ-75B sighting.

I was at my local gunshop over lunch today, and they had an odd CZ-75B - it was "desert tan" color; had no special marks; but it did have a different slide-stop pin / slide release than the standard 75B. It looked just like the pin from a CZ-97.

The story I was told was that it was a contract over-run from some E. European nation whose forces carry the 75B and is or was operating in a desert environment.

Can anyone venture a guess as to which military this is?

Weird.

Might be a clone?

Sounds cool.

Got pics?

Clone? The pistol was clearly a genuine CZ.

I cannot remember exactly what was printed on the LHS of the slide, but nothing that stood out. I also cannot remember if there was the import mark. There were no special unit markings. The pistol was new.

The coloration did not seem as thick as the black polycoat. The frame was coated inside and out, and the normally silver trigger was also colored.

Can someone who has both a '97 and '75B see if the 97's slide lock / stop pin can be dropped into the 75B ?

I just tried swaping pins between a 97 B and 75 BD. No problem. They worked fine in both guns.

Airwolf,

Thanks! That's good to know.

Wildalaska,

It's at Jensen Arms in Loveland, Colorado. 970-663-5994. I believe the price was right around $340 or so. If you nab it, tell them I let you know about it. :D
