Picked this up yesterday! My first HK, I originally went in to get an FNX, but they had this right beside it for nearly the same price.... Couldn't say no :D

Very nice addition, have you made it to the range yet?

Considering my range is my back yard, yes :) Although, I haven't really put it through any thorough paces yet, just a mag or two so far.

You know, for a full size gun, it's actually not too hard to conceal either. Sitting it side by side with my CZ P-01 which is my primary carry gun, it's not THAT much bigger. I'm thinking once I'm comfortable with it, I may put it in rotation and see how it works out. Just have to find a good comfortable holster now.

Good choice. The USP 40 is still one of my favorite semi autos. Also super reliable, the only time I have got mine to jam was when the magazine was full of sand.

It's a good one. German military uses 9x19 version of that called P8 and we all know 'Fritzies' take their guns very seriously. I would take that over FN product too. I do like their chocs and ice cream but when it comes to handguns I prefer those from other countries.

That's great, I'm counting on getting the same reliability on mine as well. The only thing that surprised me (not sure why I didn't notice it before) was that the mags are all plastic? Has that been an issue anywhere before?

Never heard of any problems with the magazines. There is a steel insert for the feed lips and the rest of the magazine shouldn't have much stress on it.

I think you made the right choice :D

How do you like the mag release?

Mag release will take a bit of getting used to, but I think it's a good design. Allows you to drop the mag from the right hand side without changing how your thumb grips the gun.
