Just got a sample of 115 gr LRN bullets to try in my Tokarev.

Does any one have any data for this?

Do you have any load data for 115 grain jacketed bullets? I load 80 grain lead bullets, and just started with the closest jacketed data. I'm loading just below the starting load and it cycles all my 30 Mauser/7.62 Tokarevs.

Depends what powder you have. I use PP for 95gr up to 147gr

My powders include Tite Group, AA5, Lil Gun, W296, & older Hercules 2400

I found one site that mentioned my exact bullet & 7.5 gr of Lil Gun.
But of course there's no mention if that data came from a reliable source or Billy Bob's mother's cousin's husband's ex-con nephew.

Just plugged it into Quickload and it lists max for a 115 grain bullet as follows:

AA5 - 6.5 grains
Lil Gun - 11 grains
296 - 11.2 grains
2400 - 8.8 grains

I wouldn't use these loads with out cross checking them, but at least it would seem like that 7.5 grain Lil Gun load is pretty weak. Might be a good place to start and them work up until the slide cycles.

Finally got to the range.
I loaded 25 rounds with 10.1 gr of Lil Gun under the a fore mentioned 115 LRN.
They're MBCs #1 Carbine (.309" width, with a BHN of 18).

According to my chronograph...
HI - 1333
Low - 1089
AVG - 1253
ES - 235
SD - 37

That low of 1089 was an anomoly.
That was the only reading less than 1230 fps.
Accuracy was as good as I can shoot.
And there was zero leading noted, without gas checks.

Definitely gonna order more lead. :D

Nice. 1300 fps is pretty hot for a 115 grain bullet. I'm getting 1450 fps, but that is with an 80 grain bullet.
