I just watched Tac TV and I'm wondering just what they do on the show that we should not do at home?
They review Guns and Take them to the Range, so why in the name of the Gods does he say at the beginning "Don't do this at Home"
Is he actually trying to tell us not to go to the range and shoot?
Why shouldn't we inspect our guns before we shoot them?
I haven't seen him violate the 4 rules so just what does he do that we peon normal citizens shouldn't do?

Attention all litigators. There is an overcautious attorney blue light special on aisle 9!

To add I'm not really bashing Larry Vickers here, but it irritates me to no end to see the "Don't try this at home kids" when all he does is give us a review and a range report.

If you listen carefully he says something like, "Unless you are trained, don't try this at home."

That's lawyer talk. It means they're not liable for what you did at home.

Yeah, it is for liability. If some copied it and got hurt they could sue if they didn't say that. That is kind of the industry standard for firearm shooting on tv. As far as Larry Vickers, his training courses are great, and he is a bonafied badarse.. Lots of respect to the man.

They do lots of stuff the average person should not try at home. Especially when it comes to their durability testing of firearms. The one with Glock even involved explosives, and then firing the Glock using pliers for a trigger since it had been blown off. Also, I would suspect they don't want the amateur out there trying to recreate a live fire shoot house like they use on occasion. I believe they are telling people to not try what they are doing at the range, at home.

I figure it's from the show's lawyers. Plus there are some episodes while they do things like building clearing with live firearms and ammo (and lots of shooting). Probably not something you should try at home. It seems like every show involving firearms nowadays has a similar disclaimer to prevent lawsuits from idiots.

I do see quite a bit 'explosive' targets lately on his show which 'most' of us can't do...? Nothing on the scale of Sons of Guns or American Guns but explosions nonetheless.

By the way, congrats to him as it looks like he's dropped a good 20lbs.

what they do on the show that we should not do at home?
I had to give up rotating my head 180 degrees each way checking my six, and slamming the gun into my chest after every target shot.

I got the chiropractor bill and decided that not knowing was less risk to my health then checking my six like a hoot owl after every shot string.

Also, the full battle dress wardrobe has been too hot to wear lately when I venture outside to shoot targets.
