For the size and the money you are probably better off getting a Sig P239. This would allow you the option of 9mm, 40cal or 357sig in a package that is not much bigger than the P232 or P230.

I'm a huge SIG fan, and put off getting a 230/232 forever. Finally, my wife got me a stainless 230SL with 232 grips for my birthday. What a sexy pistol! Shoots well, though I got a bit of slide-bite (actually just slide rub, as it didn't pinch or draw blood). Scary accurate, with less perceived recoil than my Makarovs. I wouldn't want one as my primary CCW, although my wife really likes it. For all practical purposes a 239 would be a better choice due to better caliber selection. Then again I CCW a P220.

I think I might take a look at the 239 before I go for the 232 maybe if the price is not that much difference I will go for the 239. After all I do already have a full size 9mm so will have the ammo already.. Thanks guys for the advice

I have a p232. It's a nice little gun. For some, myself included, it requires some thoughtfulness about how you grip it so it doesn't rub the web of your hand or even worse bite the web of your hand.

It does fill a niche as a flat, easily concealable pistol. It is one of my "summer guns."

I used to have one. An absolutely beautiful piece of machinery. I ended up trading it for a Springfield XD9 subcompact, which I love, but I do wish I would have been able to keep both.
