There is nothing about this pistol I don't like, well maybe the grips but I can fix that. It is dead on accurate, of course no recoil and not one malfunction. this thing is a blast to shoot. I waited along time for this, but the wait was worth it. Please post pictures of your own, and all info would be helpful.

That is a beautiful pistol. I have a PPK/s as well, but in much worse condition. I'd have prefered the slightly larger PP but they are hard to find too. However my Walther is not my favorite .22 of this genre. As good as the Walther is, my heart goes to a clone. The Daewoo DP52.

My grandfather has a .22 PPK that he bought in Germany while deployed and brought it back. No import marks or anything and is one of the funnest guns to shoot.

Probably one of the best .22s made. :)

If I could I would post pictures of my grandfather's gun but there's one problem, I don't have it because it's still my grandfather's gun. ;)

I love midsize .22LR pistols and the PP/PPK design is a thing of beauty. I just never could get around the "Made In W. Germany" = made in France deception of the postwar made versions.

Agreed. Have one and love it although my favorite .22LR in terms of style and class is the Beretta 70S.

The whole Manhurin deception thing was well known to gun nuts back then, and it was not deception.

All they were doing was fudge around the disarmament agreements following WWII to be able make Walther's again they could sell after the war ended and rebuild.

Without it, there would be no Walther company left today to accuse of deception, before most of the accusers were born.

I have had a Manhurin version for years. It never bothered me that it was from France! It is one of the most accurate .22LR. handguns I own. It is in great shape! I will try to figure out how to get a pic of it for you. I would order at least 2 mag.s for it. That gives you 31rds if carried for SD.

I have two pre-WWII .22 caliber PP's, one with extended wood grips and a wood magazine bottom that is made to conform to the grips. The other just has the plain plastic stocks, with a plastic finger rest magazine. Both shoot very well. I don't like to use high speeds so I usually shoot them with target ammo which seems to work fine and is very accurate.

I never got the Walther PPK .22 I always wanted, because they always cost way more then I had to spend at any point in time.

I had to settle for this $85 buck Astra Constable .22 in 1980.
It has killed a lot of small game & varmints since then while riding in a hip pocket.

It is basically a PPK with a different take-down design.
Every bit as reliable and accurate.

Unfortunately, no. The Bersa may be the only similar pistol in production.

Edit; Just remembered the Beretta 87. Pricey but good quality.

If I remember right FEG made a version of the .22LR PMK &SMC.- D.A. auto clones of the walther .But even though they are gone, there might be some out there if you look! The British issued the PP in .22LR. to troops in N. Ireland for SD against IRA attacks while off duty.
