Just picked up one for $330.00 less than 50 rounds through it with an extra magazine. Just looking for everyones opinion on this model. Read some good reviews, but as everyone knows. Thats not exactly real world.
Thanks

I have the PM9 and really like it. For it's size it's soft shooting, accurate and totally reliable with every kind of ammom I have used in it.

Wow, that's an even better deal than I got on the lightly used CM-9 I bought two weeks ago ($408 out the door with two magazines, though one won't drop free).

I've only put about twenty five rounds through it so far. I had a malfunction with an extended magazine I bought - one of the fmj rounds took a nose dive. I also ran five assorted hollow-points through it and it functioned flawlessly with those. (A year or so ago, I emptied all my carry-gun mags and replaced the ammunition; I dumped the "old" rounds in a box and use them to test reliability by mixing them in with fmj ammunition).

Accuracy was good once I got used to how the gun shoots - for me, placing the front sight in the rear sight notch had my shots hitting way low. Once I started placing the front sight above the rear notch, I was getting much better accuracy.

I was quite surprised at just how pleasant the gun is to shoot. While the recoil will take a little practice from an accuracy stand-point, it is not at all unpleasant; I could shoot a couple of boxes of ammunition without even noticing.

I have a cm9 and cw9 . Both have been flawless from round one with around 2150 shot. Don't shot junk ammo atleast tell you know its running well. Those recoil springs when new are stout. Might put an eye out. Had mine new one hit the ceiling a couple times. ha. I did put a piece of inner tube on my grip to aid control.

I have a pm9, a cm40, and a pm40. So far my experience with Kahr has been spotty. The pm9 feeds great, no reliability issues at all. The cm40 runs fine so far, just barely broken in though; since she won't feed my cast reloads very well she doesn't get a lot of range time. My pm40 has problems.
There are a lot of people out there that malign the Kahr cm and pm line, and there are a lot of horror stories out there about people having slide-locking issues with them, and so-on. As far as slide locking and most reliability issues; the problem seems to be a small spring that people easily mis-align when reassembling the slide stop into the pistol, which impedes on the slide stop and causes problems. Given the idiot proof nature of most newer gun designs, this seems to be easily missed by most people and apparently is the cause of much grief at the Kahr repair center.
I picked up my pm40 for $300, with the caveat that it had the above mentioned issues....mostly premature slide locking open. I disassembled and reassembled with the spring oriented correctly, now the slide stop functions correctly, and the gun feeds factory HP's, but won't chamber them...might be that "match grade" (I don't know why, it's only 3") barrel. So I've got some more trouble shooting to do, but once I get it straightened out I feel it will be a reliable pistol. For the $700 MSRP for a pm9 or pm40, I so far have been extremely unimpressed with the value of the PM series over the CM series.

I just got a CW 9 . I have 100 rounds through it with one FTF. At about #85. I like the feel of it , trigger is good and accuracy is OK. Looking forward to shooting it more.
What ammo do other people like in their 9mm kahr? 115 gr ,124 gr , 147gr ?

I buy my CC ammo from georgia arms and use there new ammo line with a 124gr speer gold dot +P load in my cw and cm9 Guess i have probably fired a 1000 rounds for it over the last few years. Fpr practice my ammo tends to be magtech but also it has to be a best buy deal. remmy , pmc, bulk federal nato. Just no WWB

The MK line and PM series have done great for us, not so with the CW9. We've had more than just a couple come back from costumers, all with the same problems. Failure to return to battery, and according to Kahr it was due to a defective recoil spring.
