Id say tech sights are the only way to go...fibre sights are not terribly conducive to accuracy

+1 for tech sights.

Another big plus for Tech Sights. I can't say enough good things about them.

Where do I buy Tech Sights?

I can't speak to Tech Sights as I don't have them (I'm sure they're great, just don't have them). I do, however, have a set if Williams FireSights (fiber optic) for my model 60. They were very easy to install (after unscrewing the front and drifting the rear out). The front screws on in the same place as the factory front, and the rear slides into the drift dovetail on the rear (and is held in place by a set screw. Another screw sets elevation.

They are likely slightly less accurate than Tech Sights, but the doggone things just JUMP OUT at me, making acquisition a lot easier (the downside is that admittedly a target at 100 yards is pretty much hidden behind the front sight). As always, your mileage will vary.

Hope this helps.

I put tech sights on my daughter's Savage Mark II .22 - she loves the sights! For info, prices, ordering, you can go here:

Tech sites will cut the size of your shot groups in half, I love my marlin 60 but the factory sites just don't cut it, tech sites allow for fast target aquisition and accuracy. Tech sites!

tech sights

order straight from the tech sight website - and then equip every rifle you have with them if available

Tech sights FTW lol, the first time i scored rifleman at Project Appleseed was behind the trigger of my 10/22 with tech sights

Tech sights are nice and I've used them. From what I've seen, Skinner sights look nicer. Next set of irons I need will be skinners.

The sights are soldered on a model 60. Makes them difficult to change. :cuss:

The rear sight is pretty easy to change on a 60. Marlin makes and adjustable sight that will fit them. Cost about $10 or so at Gun Parts.

Shooting Budd has Tech-Sights on his 10-22. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYY much better than the stock Ruger sights.

The proper set should work just as well for the Marlin 60.
