I have a problem with the hammer following on my Benelli when I am doing speed shoots. Rumor has it that there are people out there who can machine the bolt to make the cycle time a little quicker, anyone know who? Thanks for the help!

Machine the bolt ? I stoned my bolt to make it more reliable with target loads though now you can get different bolt springs to do that. But hammer following usually means problems with the sear and hammer. Check that out .

Try Benny Hill at Triangle Shooting Sports in TX. If he can't do it, he'll know who can.

Thanks for the input about Benny. As far as the hammer and sear they are fine, it's when your split times drop to or below .12's that you have problems.

Beven Grams at http://www.gramsengineering.com does bolt lightening on Benelli's. I think he is able to take around 2oz off the bolt.
Cost was $200.00 plus, you will have to call as there is no info on his web site about Benelli work.
Hope this helps

Why don't you just get a shotgun that is capable of what you want to do?

I would but they are rather expensive. When I got my Benelli I wasn't as fast as I am now, practice pays off, sort of!?!
Anyway, thanks for the input, I will be checking those two guys out.

From what I've read, the Win. SuperX2 is faster than the Benelli. It is more expensive than having the bolt modified on your Benelli, but $200 for that???

I've got a M1S90 for 3Gun. My friend just bought the Super-X2 for the same purpose. I've shot his gun some.
The Benelli is significantly lighter than the SX2. The Benelli is about 2" shorter. Both hold 9 fully loaded. Sights are slightly different. His gun needed some fiddling to get it to run reliably with 1 1/8oz and lighter loads. I shoot AA127's (1 1/8oz) all day in my M1S90 with no cleaning.
The weight of the SX2 turns me off, but it's a nice gun.
