Which would be the best action for a custom built, precision, semi-auto in .308? Weatherby, Sako or Browning?

GAP-10 put together by GAP or maybe a Knights SR25 put together by Knight's Armament.

Out of those 3, Sako.

depending on what i was going to use it for, i would either

1. get a GAP10, OBR or JP
2. get an SR25 or Noveske N6
3. build it up myself on a DPMS or billet receiver

(that's just for the action though... once i got it i would customize it)

if I wanted something for looks that i wasn't ever going to use, I'd consider a customized M1A too

You said semi-auto...to my knowledge, neither Sako nor Weatherby sell semi-auto rifles...

I missed the semi-auto part myself.

Which gas-operated semi-auto Weatherbys or Sakos are you considering?

The Browning sporting BAR (and in dress-up form, the Fabrique Natiounale FNAR) are interesting, but few would choose them for a true precision rifle.
