Senate Bill 29 (http://www.leg.state.nv.us/72nd/bills/SB/SB29.html) has been pre-filed and will be one of the first bills considered when the Nevada Legislature convenes.
This bill serves to weaken the Nevada pre-emption law by allowing County Commissioners, City Council, and Town Boards to
"proscribe by ordinance or regulation the carrying of an unconcealed firearm by any person, other than a peace officer who is performing his official duties, upon any public property at which a special event is being held."
This is a bill that needs to be fought, so I'll be putting out occasional e-mail alerts when the bill is under consideration.
