arsenal sgl31 with 1981/82 soviet/afghan war era trimmings. soviet laminate has a bit more of a blonde hue as opposed to the typical iodine red/orange we always see.

Oh man. That gives me a stiffy.

Props to you for not "tacticaling" an AK and doing it right. Very right.

thanks. i love the aesthetics of soviet rifles during the 1980s era. these ak-74 rifles were the last russian rifles to sport wood, before being trimmed out in polymer plum. you just got to love an AK with wood.

here is my other sgl31 that is sporting a soviet/afghan look from 1985...... hence the shiny plum grip, plum mag, non vented handguards and lazy ribbed top cover. i even have an original tourniquet wrapped on the stock with an original soviet bandage, dated 1985, inside the folder.

they are not easy to find. gunbroker has them every once in a while. i find most of my AK stuff on the forums though. i have a few east german bakelites and they look the exact same. and they are not really "blonde", but more of an orange color. i like the plum mags better though. they are lighter and stronger.
