Quick S&W BG380 Question

I picked up a BG380 over the weekend and I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, but I noticed something that kind of bothered me. I was dry firing with snap caps and went to eject a round and it wouldn't clear the ejection port. It kinda got lodged in there pretty good. It took a bit of force to get it out of there. It looks like it will clear without the bullet in the case, but I've never had a gun that wouldn't clear a round. I considered trying some ammo I picked up but didn't really feel like getting a live round wedged in the ejection port.

Anyone else experienced this? Once again, I haven't had the chance to shoot it so I don't know if it will have ejection problems. This is my first small auto so it may be a common occurrence for all I know.

Not at all uncommon for any number of different pistols.
Especially very small ones, but sometimes large ones too.

Even a GI 1911 will not always eject a loaded 230 grain FMJ round because the bullet hangs on the ejection port.

The trick is to yank the slide back harder.
Or poke it out down through the magazine well.

Oh, well thanks. I guess I've just never come across one. I'll have to try that "yank the slide back harder" thing when I get home tonight. :o
