I picked up my new Ruger SR9c last Friday. I then rendered it useless on Saturday (there is a thread about that), I called Ruger on Monday morning and fixed the gun (there is a thread about that also), and I got to the range with it today (Wednesday). It's had quite a story right out of the box.

So anyway, I went to the range this afternoon. It was a fairly nice day with temps in the upper 80s. I had already cleaned the gun and lubed it. I shot 50 rounds of S&B 115 gr FMJ and 50 rounds of Federal 115 gr FMJ with absolutely no problems. I'm really liking this gun.

Normally when I start shooting, even pistols that I'm familiar with, it takes me five or ten rounds at least to get settled down. I'm usually all over the place. After that I do as well as I expect to do. Well, my very first shot out of this SR9c went right into the very center of the center circle of a shoot-n-see type target. Unbelieveable! :what: I got so excited that my next four shots totally missed the eight and a half inch square target. After that I did settle down and shot well with it.

I bought the SR9c with the intention of carrying it when I can. In Maryland right now, that is not possible but Maryland may become a shall issue state later this year.

For a light weight pistol the recoil is very controlable. For me, this pistol will be just right for carrying. Not too large and not too small. I'm really happy with this gun and hope that some day I will be able to carry in my home territory.

Although I did not reply to your earlier threads I have been watching them. I am glad to see you got your pistol straightened out & it is shooting well for you. Enjoy it.

I also have a sr9c that I plan to carry after I take my course to get a permit. I have had the gun for awhile now and have spent a lot of time with it and really like it a lot. It digests everything I put in it and it's easy to clean. I think you will enjoy yours as much as I do mine.

I love my SR9c, I carry it all the time and it shoots great. It feels and shoots like a $600 gun.

Glad you finally got out to shoot that thing! It's a fantastic compact gun. Still has one of my favorite triggers out of the box. Have fun!

The SR9c should work out great for you. Mine is rock solid and my EDC, also with a couple 17rounds mags on hand the SR9c is my "go to" handgun...

I just put another 100 trouble free rounds through the SR9c today. I'm really liking this gun and shooting pretty well with it. It will be my carry gun if and when I ever get to carry.
