I was at a gunshop today and found an original colt ar-15 magazine for 12 bucks. I thought that was pretty good, anyone else ever have a good find at a gun shop?

I was in Jaquas in Ohio and found a neat S&W 32 breaktop. It was $35.00. 10% of what they usually go for. Nickel plated, perfect grips and positive lock up. I was happy.

Back around 1990 I found two new-in-bubblewrap Randall left hand magazines for the original retail price. I bought it on the spot and was scolded by my hostess for not bargaining the store down. I didn't care about it as it was truly a find.
I asked what happened to the gun that they had stocked the magazines for and they told me it was stolen years ago.

In 2001 I found a what I thought was a (near new) Wilson Super Grade (circa 1997) for $1800. It didn't have front serrations:) , and it was marked "Wilson Combat" on the frame instead of the slide, but no "Super Grade" stamping anywhere. Deep blue slide on a hard chrome frame with six 8-round mags and brass basepads. I suspicioned that it was an SG, and bought it on the spot without bargaining.
Later on, I shipped several detailed pics to Wilson Combat, and was provided details and confirmation that it was an early SG, though it's marked differently from the current production gun. So far as we can tell, the only differences between mine and the newer products is the serrations and the older markings. Estimates were that it was a '96 or '97 production.
I found a NIB Bonanza-Forster powder measure. There was so much dust on the box the item # was illegible. The owner said I could have it for the right price, since it'd been there for better than 20 years. I said $5, and he said 'sold'. Later on, I found out it was worth about $100. Who knew??
