Colt revolver sideplate screw pitch?

Question occurred, on a Police Positive, anyone know what the pitch of the sideplate screws is?
And was it standard on their revolvers, or did it change over different models?

In a quick check, it looks like the Police Positive uses 6x40 screws, a common gunsmith size.

Up to the last changes, COLT used 6-40 screws, WITH A # 5 head!
