Quality control on the XD's seems to be improving!I've owned 2 previously and traded them after not being too accurate with them. However I liked the ergonomics so much I decided to give it one more chance,
I just bought a new XD40.Barrel to slide fit is almost perfect,trigger is great and after just getting back from the range it's a tack driver.Ilove it.I thought the target that came with it only had 4 shots but after close examination 2 shots went in to almost the same hole.
I'm not saying quality was bad before.Just that this one is almost perfect.
Also has anyone tried the hi-caps from SA in a .40.Should hold about 13 rounds I would think.

Don't know about the quality of the older ones. The ones I've been shooting are 4 months old & have been very nicer performers...XD 9 & XD 357 Both w/ acceptable trigger & more than above average accuracy.

I had an XD in Sept. The quality was so-so. I am glad that they are getting better. Aside the rough machining marks the gun was fun to shoot.

I recently got an XD-357. Quality is excellent and so is the reliability and accuracy.

I got my XD in June of 2002. It definitely shoots well, when I'm doing my part. I love it. I put a Hogue HandAll grip on it and I love the way it feels now.

I haven't had the priviledge to shoot one but hear they are sweet.
