Quick and simple. I love the .357 round. I love the Ruger 77/357 action. I love the carbine size and stainless steel construction. The Problem? I hate synthetic stocks. I understand that they have their place, but I gotta have a wood stock.

The question. Is there a company thatís fabricating wood stocks that would fit the Ruger 77/357, or is there a way to modify a Ruger 77/22 stock (or 77/22wmr or 77/17hmr)? Even better, does anyone know if Ruger plans on releasing the 77/357 with a wood stock?

Any information is welcomed. Iíd like to avoid any discussion on the lever action .357, as I prefer the bolt action design.

Here ya go..... http://www.midwayusa.com/product/514698/ruger-rifle-stock-ruger-77-44-rs-walnut

It is an exact replacement for the 77/357. They are out of stock, but past due, so they should come in anytime now.

I'd have bet money that no one made an aftermaret stock for that rifle. Looks like I'd have lost.

I have a extra Ruger 77/22 Hornet wood stock, which "may" be easier to modify for a 77/357 than a 77/22.

Let me know if interested.

Ruger made the 77/44 in a blued finish with the walnut stock, the link above is a direct replacement part for that rifle. It 'should' fit your .357 without issue. If not, a 77/22Hornet stock would also be a possibility.

It exists! Haha. Iím almost a little upsetÖcause now I need to explain to my better half why I need a new gun. Thanks for finding that for me.

Bwana John, what might you be interested in selling your 77/22wmr stock for? Iím not sure how to send Private Messages, so if you know how, send me one.
