Need a trigger pull gage

Hi,

Could you guys please suggest a trigger pull gage that can work on everything from my 10 meter rifle up to about 5 pounds.

Would one of these (http://www.midwayusa.com/product/220725/lyman-trigger-pull-gage-electronic-digital-0-to-12-lb) work for you? There are plenty of similar out there. I still use an old mechanical analog push / pull in the pull mode. :)

I've used this RCBS gauge for quite awhile. IIRC it will measure up to 8 pds.
Also has a telltale to tell you where it broke at.

you should have something similar all over oahu. or in your tackle box

No spring type gauge will measure down to the pull weights common on those target rifles; an electronic gauge will be needed.

Brownells sells a Lyman electronic gauge that is supposedly good from 1 oz to 12 pounds and accurate to 1/10 oz in the 1 oz - 5 lb range. Retail price (older catalog) is $70 plus s&h. (I am quoting the catalog on the stats, I don't have one - my gauge is the old spring type).

If you need one often, buy a good one.
If you only need one occassionally, this works and can be easily modified for rifles..
Its a plasic cup (juice bottle bottom). weigh the dowell, string and cup and add weights until the gun triggers. I use 125gr bullets for weights. :D
I put the gun in a padded vise vertically.
