I bought a box of federal premium small mag. pistol match primers. They were the only ones avalible. Two problems with them first they are not brass so I'll trash them while depriming, I normally recycle my brass primers. The big problem is that there on there sides in the package. What is the trick to get them all layed out flat?

they are nickle-plated brass. you can recycle them with the rest of your scrap brass.
you need a primer flip tray to get them all oriented properly. just google it. they're cheap. i would suggest you get one big enough to cover the entire Federal tray. some of the round ones won't get the primers in the corners. this is one that will work with the federal primer trays:

What did you do if one of Winchester primers flipped over?

For the stubborn ones that don't want to flip, I just pick em up and turn em over. :)

918v winchesters come flat but upside down so I keep an empty to put on top of it then flip it over then lay a 6x6 ceramic tile on that, flip it over then load it in the primer pickup tube.
