Has there been any flip flop, yet, on the ATF's position that an AFG is NOT a vertical grip and therefore OK to put on an oversized pistol?

I'm not as up to the minute as some of y'all on their changes of heart and just wanna make sure a planned build is still legal :)

No, I didn't get a letter, but I'm pretty sure it was a member here that did get a written response on it. I just wanted to make sure nobody had heard anything about them changing their position. As long as no one has, I'm going to consider their last position valid :)

just looked into it and never found an actual letter just an email. id want actual letter just to be safe.

but from what i found you are correct. i can see how they would work on an AR or AK pistol but i cant see it working on a standard pistol (ie glock)

what are you planning to mount it on

An AK pistol. I would say Draco, but technically, its not one. Its my own build :)

Haven't heard anything about an ATF change of heart (presuming they have one) yet. There are letters out there on AR and AK pistols as well as the Kel-Tec PLR-16.
