Anyone else having trouble with an order from them??
Placed my order 6 days ago, called and talked to a gal--said she would check on my order and call right back--that was 3 hrs. ago, gave her my name, phone no. and order no.
Am I being over zealous???:what:

Thanks, Smokeyloads

I've had nothing but good results from them. I order all my powder and primers from Powder Valley I deal with them by e-mail, rather than phone. Try e-mailing them and see what happens.

Wow, no instant gratification? I would be reasonably certain you are not their only customer, nor should you expect someone to drop everything to run and call you back.

Six days ago means you places an order on a Saturday - deduct two days for the weekend, and then you have their orders from the preceding week in line ahead of you.

Patience is a virtue; all things come to he who waits..... ;)

oneounceload--be nice, on thier website it says " if you haven't recieved a shipping confirmation from UPS or Fed X " within" 4 days contact us on your order, that's what I did, I think 5 working days is enough time to get an order out, and at least she could have called me back.

PD is my "go to" vendor for all my bullets. Have never had any problems with any of my orders......i.e. fast shipments, etc. Hopefully they'' figure out what happen to your order and rectify it quickly.

I was about to place my first order w/ them but, I noticed that I have to fax a copy of my DL and a statement saying that I can store my order legally. Is this something new or has it always been like that?

They've been terrific with me. As mentioned they might have some computer issues going on.

If I may ask, what is there hazmat fee? I was looking around on there and liked the prices of their powders.

Hazmat is the standard, $27.50 You can mix powders/primers under 1 hazmat charge, as long as you keep under the max weight (don't remember what that is)...

I've never heard of that....you're sure it was PV? Did your order contain ammo?

It's been like that as far back as I can remember. I sent mine with a cell phone picture attached to the email.

All of my Powder Valley orders have been processed with good email notification and accurate/fast shipping of several days. My recent orders from several vendors have been a bit delayed than usual, may due to increased demand on reloading components? Is this an election year or what? ;)

Finally found out why my order didn't ship, the Bullseye powder I have on the order is back ordered, I wish they would let a person know, oh well, she said maybe in the next week.
And the beat goes on:)

I always order by land line and ask if the propellant is in stock at the time. I have had very few problems with orders in the past. Yes they want ID for age/residency verification. I faxed them a photocopy of my drivers license with my mailing and ship to address on it for their files a while ago. I always get prompt service from PV. There are some others that do not need the info but it does not matter to me that they have it.

They have always been great to me. On the last order, they couldn't fill my request for CCI primers, although the website showed them in stock. They called me, apologized and offered Winchesters as a sub; or I could wait for the CCIs. Excellent customer service in my book!

I frequently order from Powder Valley and have always been treated fairly and enjoyed truly excellent customer service.

Powder Valley is a company I am comfortable recommending to my friends.

Every time they've been out of an item I ordered, I always received a phone call from them. Always a female and always nice, wanting to know if I want to cancel that item or wait for the backorder.

When you can order powder, primers, and bullets from a company with prices as reasonable as Powder Valley, I'd just wait for the shipment. But...that's just me. They've never failed me yet in about 15 or so orders .....

CraziePonie, Powder Valley has never asked me for ID. Maybe it's the State you're asking them to ship to. Since it's not listed for viewing, I don;t know where you are. Maybe there is a State or three that requires them to ask.

Ordered ~1000 bullets last night, I got the UPS tracking number this morning.

They seem to be back on their A-game.

Never sent an ID, either.

Same here. And if I have to send one for my next order I won't be using them anymore. I understand why they're doing it on their end. But I'm not giving a company a copy of my drivers license. That puts me one step closer to identity theft. Call me paranoid but that doesn't sit well with me.

I don't recall sending an ID.....but I'm old.
PV was the only place I found that accepted backorders on primers during the first Obama panic. Once they got the primers about a month later, they shipped them promptly. Excellent service.

I have never sent ID either. Ordered three times in the last couple of years. Always fast service and very good prices.
Last order of about $400, including shipping and $27.50 hazmat fee, saved me nearly $200 over buying locally. And it was delivered to my front door. Didn't have to drive all over town to pick it up.
I try to always order before I HAVE to have anything. If I don't do that it is my fault if they can't deliver when I need it.

Did you place the order online or by phone?

I have placed many orders with them online and they have never missed a heart-beat.
I have even placed an order online and called them back 15 mins later to add another item into the order and they took care of that.

Their website UI can be improved but other than that, I'd say their service level is impeccable and is maintained at a high level.

arthury, I placed the order online, maybe because they were having computer probs I got lost in the shuffle, I talked to a gal and as soon as the powder gets in they will send my order.
I have ordered from them many times before, no probs.

I ordered a keg of Herco and a case of primers from PV and I would have had them in my possession one week later but I was unable to sign for the shipment until my Friday off which was yesterday. I don't think I've ever received a shipping notification from PV but they've batted a thousand so far WRT the goods.
