Today is just like every other day. I am carrying a Kershaw Vapor in black. It has survived 6 years of hard use/abuse, 2 years of it in industrial maintenance machine shop work. I do need to send it in to get sharpened though, the edge is getting pretty mangled and I don't feel like taking most of a saturday fixing it.

My current daily is a Benchmade Ascent in full sized model. I have two other blades for daily carry but they're for different circumstances (an old full sized Henckel folder with carbon steel blade for woodworking tasks, and an Al Mar Eagle for dress occasions where a slender profile is preferred). The Benchmade is with me every day on the water (I'm a full time fishing guide working the Everglades saltwater areas and at one boat ramp or other day or night down here in paradise....).

Normally on duty, I carry my CS Recon 1, and I have my little K-Bar TDI on the duty belt.

Currently, it's my first Spyderco; a Dragonfly II Lightweight. Got it to replace a Kershaw Scallion that was too heavy for my preferences; also, I'd gotten the Kershaw in half-serrated and found out that was a mistake for my purposes.

It's taken a while for me to get used to opening the Spydie, but its handle ergonomics are wonderful, and it's a lot sharper than the Kershaw. BTW, the Kershaw now rides as emergency backup in the center console of my truck.

Honestly, I wouldn't carry a knife at all if I could find a small, sturdy pair of shears that I could carry easily in sweat-pants pocket or beltless lightweight shorts. Good shears are much easier and safer for opening that theft-resistant plastic packaging that everything seems to come in nowadays, and they cut box tape, as well. All I've used my pocket knife for is opening packages, for a long time now.

I usually carry two. The first is a Spyderco Standard with Spyder Edge. It has ridden with me for 20+ years, and was a staple in Fire/EMS.

The second is an old Buck 425-D. It's a small folder, with a blackened, part serrated blade.

Both of these are long discontinued, but have been useful knives for me. :)

Same as in MOST days, an Opinel #10 in a bealt sheath flashlight holder.

I carry the Gerber paraframe 1 fine edge clipped in my back right pocket. It's not an expensive knife but has served me well and holds an edge well.

This Week a Colt Canoe pattern in my left pocket, my baby kershaw in the cell phone case and my 1980's Gerber Gator.

Tonight, when I go to work police patrol in a little while, I will have a Tarani Masters Model Karambit, pre-5.11, manufactured by Blade-tech, clipped into one pocket, and a Spyderco Dodo clipped into another pocket. Somewhere, deeply concealed, will be a Spyderco Civilian.

I don't usually carry that many on my own time.

I'm beginning to wonder about the EDCs being shown in posted photos. What do you guys have in your pockets... little squishy self polishing sleeping bags for all the drawer queens being shown?:evil:

Love that Dozier Thorn. Wish I had picked one up before Kabar stopped making them.

I actually had two, but I lost one about a year ago. Really annoyed me. Now that I'm down to one, I've been considering retiring it from EDC duty in favor of something that could be more readily replaced if it gets lost. But there are precious few knives that I think look as elegant.

Usually carry a sak farmer and cold steel pocket bushman which gets switched out to a condor rodan when a fixed blade is appropriate. Today I carried a old hickory 8' slicer modified to a 3 1/2 sheeps foot and a sak pocket pal

I sharpen knives for a living and one of the ways I get folks to stop by my canopy at the venues I work is to sharpen pocket knives at no cost. Well, the get the sales pitch while I sharpen their knife! I see about 6 or 8 pocket knives each time I go out. Yesterday would be typical, I saw 3 Schrade Old Timers, a couple of S&W lockbacks, 2 or 3 Swiss Armies (all Vitorinox) and one Trapper style of no discernable maker. I can usually guess which type of blade is coming out of a pocket if the fellow is actually carrying one. Under 40s if carrying, have the lockbacks and over 60s will have something akin to the trapper, Old Timer, or a Barlow. Suit and ties tend carry the Swiss Army knife from the Executive series. Another observation is that many women are carrying. Mostly a small sheath knife. Easier to get it out and running if needed.

Today was a Mini-Griptilian in left front pocket and an AngleSword Bucaneer on right hip.

Benchmade 15030 Mini Bone Collector with Green/Black G10 handles. I have come to really like this knife in the 2 weeks I've owned it. It has pretty much replaced my previous EDC, which was a Benchmade Mini Griptilian for about 2 years. The bone collector is just the right size, weight, blade length and thickness, and it's D2. Plus it looks pretty sweet!

I just picked a cheap Boker Armed Forces spearpoint. It's the small one. Just something to toss in my Maxpedtion bag. Not bad for the price. But I'm debating returning it for SOG I saw instead. I usually carry my ZT.

I did take back the Boker Plus folder I got that I posted about a few posts up. The jimping was great but the blade seemed thin and the liner lock was really thin.

I took it back and swapped it for a CRKT M16-13z. This I will be using as my EDC knife due to its smaller size and weight. Usually carry a Leatherman Wave and ZT in my EDC bag as well.

I also just bought a One Ton. It was sharp enough to shave the back of my hand out of the box. I'm just blown away by the great value Kershaw blades are these days.

Kershaw Compound. I've got a pair of them and a pair of the Kershaw Asset knives. Pretty nice blades, hold a nice edge. Got all 4 for about $12.50 each.

Benchmade Griptillian, leatherman micra, and leatherman surge. Everyday I carry those three, except on Sunday, when I try to chose a better looking knife to replace the griptillian and do away with the leatherman surge. Sometimes my Sunday go to church knife is a Columbia River Knife and Tool, signed Lake Series Laredo, other times its a Case Mini-Trapper, or one of my myriad Swiss Army knives. I am a bit of a Knife Knut, so I have quite a few to chose from. The number of knives I have drives my wife knuts, but I have been collecting since I was a kid.

Same blade as every day, the Vic'nox that my mother bought me before my first Boy Scout camp, 25 years ago.
It has peeled more potatoes, tightened more loose screws, popped more bottle caps, picked out more splinters, cut out more duck breasts, jimmied more stovepiped rounds, and collected more pocket lint than I can even remotely remember.

For the last month, Kershaw's Ken Onion Leek. Very happy with the knife.
In addition, I always have a Leatherman Wave on my belt.
