Hello,

An Buntline in 45LC has been offered to me for sale made by Armi Jager, a company which no longer exists.

I live in the Czech Republic (Europe) and it seems that this manufacturer is almost unknown here so I could not get any references.

Could anyone please advise me as to quality, reliability etc. of guns made by Armi Jager when compared with Uberti, Pietta?

Also, to make it clear, these guns have been imported to the US under name "Dakota" as I have read somewhere...

Thanks.

A.

So much of the info gets mixed with the emf dakota copys but heres all i can find on prices here on one model. I did find that the company stopped makeing them do to lack of qualified people to make them and other firearms in jager comany. It might not be good to get one of the last ones. Guess if I wanted a pistol along the lines of a cowboy revolver I would buy a ruger.

Looks like nuova jager is the name of the company now and not the same for sure.

I have a small collection of Armi Jäger rimfire rifles, mainly AR/AK/Galil/FAMAS etc. look-a-likes. While they're somewhat collectible, the build quality is poor and spare parts very difficult to find. I'm not familiar with centerfire guns made by the same company, but as far as rimfires are concerned, I've grown to be VERY wary of anything with Armi Jäger logo on it.
