Just one of the remarkable swords and knives I handled today while hanging out with some of my pals at Bowie's Hammer-In. Fuad and Stephen were there as were a bunch of other talented folks.

The furry gentleman on the right is the maker of that short celtic sword as well as the seax he's holding. He's the sole person involved in making the blade, sword/knife, and sheath.

The guy on the right is the sole person involved in making the basket hilted broad sword and sheath.

Remarkable folks.

I've got to go to one of these. I think I would learn a lot. That basket hilted broadsword looks like it would be a lot of work. But fun.

Where is this Hammer-In? We have a Bowie near here (sort of), but I'm pretty sure from your pictures that it wasn't there.
