how easy or difficult is this to do preferably without modifying a standard ak gastube? I might get one of those TGI AMDs which from what i've heard are one of the best AKs for the money, i just don't like the handguard that they have and would greatly prefer a standard AK handguard...

the tapco galil hand guards are suppose to be fairly simple to modify to fit they also make a quad rail for them but if you want the wood look you will have to add all the hardware to your gas tube to attach the upper hand guard. i also heard a stock gas tube from a draco pistol will fit but im not 100% on that. if i would have kept my amd my plan was the galil hand guuards.

You heard wrong. I wanted an Ultimak gas tube mount for my Draco pistol before I converted it to an SBR. The AMD-65 Ultimak did not fit. I ended up with a "standard" Ultimak and cut it down to fit.
