.41Mag & 170 gr sierra JHP recipe

Can't find any data for 170gr bullets any one have a recipe will be shooting it out of a 6" blackhawk. I would like to use 2400 or win 231 as that is what I have on hand

Lyman #49 lists 8 powders with a 170 Sierra JHP.

They don't list W231.
2400 is shown as
17.5 Start = 1,279 @ 29,200 CUP
19.5 MAX = 1,467 @ 36,400 CUP (Also shown as most accurate load)



Hodgdon website shows 9 powders with a 170 Sierra JHP.

HP38 (same as W231)
8.8 Start = 1,326 @ 29,500 CUP
9.8 MAX = 1,440 @ 38,300 CUP

YOU want to be mighty careful of that topend HP38/231 data, and I am NOT whistling Dixie !!

Here is data from the .41 mag "One Book" that shows Sierra and Winchester loads for 170gr JHP using your 2 powders.
