I ran across the rifle at a LGS, used, trade in gun. It looks like it's never been fired it's that clean. The story I got is the "kid" has lots of disposable income and buys everything in sight, then trades it in short order for something new.

Comes with the basics which includes pop up sights, no optics, flash hider. The only thing I dislike is the stock is very, very basic and uncomfortable. Overall the gun had a very solid, high quality feel to it. I don't know about the barrel other than it appears to be stainless steel.

Asking $999 OTD.

I do not. 300 AAC ammo seem readily available around here, both subsonic and not.

Bushmaster and "custom" don't really go together. Is is a Bushmaster stamped lower with unknown BO barrel? If so, the rest of the parts are likely a mystery too and makes accurate pricing impossible.

It is a lot of fun at the range, and I would not hesitate to use it for self defense. It uses standard mags which is a plus. It feeds 100% from those mags assuming a properly loaded round. It can shoot bullets from 110 grs to 220 Grs, and probably lighter, although the twist rate is geared towards heavier. Ammo (http://www.midwayusa.com/product/547535/remington-umc-ammunition-300-aac-blackout-762x35mm-115-grain-closed-tip-flat-base-box-of-20) cost (http://www.midwayusa.com/product/528716/pnw-arms-ammunition-300-aac-blackout-147-grain-full-metal-jacket-bi-metal-boat-tail-box-of-20) is coming down. I bought a barrel and built one from a .223. Folks like shooting it. I have a Simmons 6.5X20X50 (http://www.midwayusa.com/product/746570/simmons-whitetail-classic-rifle-scope-65-20x-50mm-adjustable-objective-truplex-reticle-matte) scope on it for accuracy testing right now, but I shot it with a red dot as well, and I have a Nikon 3X (http://www.opticsplanet.com/nikon-p-223-3x32-bdc-carbine-rifle-scope.html) scope ordered for it. (The Simmons set up with Zee rings and YHM risers will slide right off to go on another AR if I want to test a different caliber/gun)

Mine's a keeper.
