Where to buy 37MM ammo (Flares)?

I just bought a spiffy looking 37MM Flare Launcher. I live in a rural part of Louisiana and I use flare guns for fireworks; 4th of July, New Years, Mardi Gras (of course), etc. I have used 12ga flares and I have a 26.5 flare gun but have heard that the 37MM flares are much more colorful and are larger. Is this true? Much difference? I also would like to find where to buy the flares. I see $12 each ads on line. I can buy 26.5 flares doe $3 or $4 each and the 12ga ones you get in Walmart are even cheaper.

Suggestions? Someonhe said gun shows have them sometimes. True.

Firequest.com, ammunitiontogo.com, and americanspecialtyammo.com off the top of my head. But if you're a reloader, you can reload 37mm as well. And there are adapters so you can fire 12g flares out of a 37mm launcher.

For 37mm flares, the sites already recommended are good places to go. However, to really get the most out of the launcher (not to mention save a ton of money), reloading is the way to go.

Wow... just wow. I don't think I will be getting into 37/40mm flare lauchers. Stick with my nice cheap 26.5mm thank you.

I picked up a RPB mod. about 18 years ago. I bought some flares & some load your own rounds. The flares worked fine, all 10 of them at $2.50 ea. The load your own Rd.s DID NOT COME WITH ANY INSTRUCTIONS AT ALL! I called & was told over the phone to use blackpowder & 209 S.G.primers ! That's all! As they were made of plastic & I had been reloading for some years,I decided to look into it more before I did! I am really glad I did! Traded the load your own stuff away . Cleaned F.L.& put it up. After those pic's I will only buy from rep.dealer & I will not load my own until I can do so safely & that means more than just talking to a dealer on the phone. Thanks for posting this infomation it may save someone body parts or their life!

That is horrible! MUST be careful with these things!!

I used to be able to get them from the Pawn Shop at 9th and Quicy in Topeka, Kansas. (its also a bail bond place)
