Fireing problem with Sig 230

Had the Sig P230 out for a little practice, immediate problems firing from Single Action. Pulled the trigger and nothing happened, didn't feel anything, no increase in pressure no release. Pulled again still nothing, decoked it and did a system check then tried Double action and it fired fine. Tried single action again, I held the trigger and it finally fired almost like a delayed reaction. The same thing for forty rounds, DA it fired, SA it was a crap shoot. Looks like everything is in place so I guess I'll be taking it to the doctor. Didn't have any problems the last time I shot it and this is the pistol I've been carrying. That would have been a hell of a wake up call if it had been needed.

Strange, I have a 230 I have had for about 15 years and no problems, let us know what you find...

Disconnected trigger bar? Have you taken the grips off to look inside?

I held the trigger and it finally fired almost like a delayed reaction.Sounds like dried gummy oil more then a true mechanical problem.
I'd take the grips off and hose it out real good with WD-40 or Gun Scrubber spray.
Then blow it out with compressed air and re-oil with Rem-Oil spray.

Took the grips off everything looks to be in place and clean, may give it a once over anyway just in case. If the spring is week wouldn't it efect it from DA also? I'll have to pull up the schematics to check the bar. This was one of my fathers that he bought down in Florida. It was fine the last time I shot it, and can't think of anything out of place when I cleaned it. I will contact Sig tomarrow on the off they might check it out. Thanks for the info.

Talked to sig this morning, to send it in it will cost $55.00 in shipping and $85 for them to do a tear down, replace worn items (small), clean and lube it.
I also noticed the role pin in front of the hammer isn't seated properly but it isn't impeeding anything.
Guess I'll be spending $140, small investment for peace of mind.
