Well I finally got that stock torched, and resanded, and put the first coat of miniwax Special Walnut stain on it. Believe it or not it came out looking pretty good. I'll get some pics up before long and see what ya all think, right now it's hanging in the garage drying. It came out really dark which gives it that antique look. I'm about ready to start browning the barrel, after I give it the final polishing touches to it.:D

Just about got the barrel browned but the tang doesn't seem to want to take a good browning like the rest of the barrel. It is staying sort of copper colored, using Laurel Mountin Forge browning solution, any ideas out there? Oh yeh, the humidity out here has been really high like today it rained but the last few days 50-60%. Still not what I would consider a good browning, like on my GPR.
