Scored a Durango

The other day, while at lunch, I stopped off at a pawn shop just to look around.
I saw a High Standard revolver in the case and thought it was a Double Nine.
A friend back in high school had one that we had a lot of fun plinking with.
I saw that the revolver was priced $99.95 so, I asked to take a look at it. The guy pulled it out of the case and told me that he could make me a deal on it if I wanted it. He said that someone had painted the gun and he wanted to sell it.
I asked what he would take for it. I was thinking $75, and that's what he said he wanted. So I told him I was thinking more like $65. He said he could do that so, I said "Now that's $65 out the door?" He thought about it and said ok. :D
So I would have to say that I got a pretty good deal.

I haven't had a chance to clean it up yet, but everything seems to be ok with it.

Nice score, Gunny. Looks like it oughtta clean up just fine. Gonna blue that or try to have it re-nickled?

would have bought it in a minute. Good find.

Right now my plan is to clean it up and apply an Aluma-Hyd II finish, but it will have to wait like the outhers while I remodel my work shop.
