Does anyone know why Glock uses 2 springs on ther baby glocks instead of just one longer one ?
I was thinking of buying a G26
I like to make new 300 series ss guide rods on all my guns that come with plastic or mild steel rods.

Because there isn't room inside one for a single spring of the required weight.
It would stack and go solid before full slide travel.
Almost all sub compact guns of any brand run two springs for the same reason.

You may or may not be able to manufacture a stainless guide rod for the Glock 26, but you can buy them from several places, including The Glock Store (http://glockstore.com/pgroup_descrip/7_Custom+Parts+%26amp%3B+Accessories/7964_Stainless+Steel+Competition+Recoil+Spring+for+Glocks+w+Dual+Spring/?return=%3ftpl%3Dindex%26category_id%3D7%26%26%26page%3D2%26nothumbs%3D%26filter_1%3D%26filter_2%3D%26filter_3%3D%26filter_4%3D).
