All you 1911 owners out there, just curious as to how you like to accessorize your stainless/chrome/nickel gun. Black leather holster with cocobolo grips? Tan holster with ivory grips? Some other combination?

I'm a huge fan of the way the hogue wraparound grips look on a 1911, but once holstered they don't quite look the same.

The black rubber Hogue grips match a polymer holster and look best on a white pistol.

BTW: Cocobolo grips look best when paired with a russet colored holster; Pau Faro or Ebony looks very nice with black leather; Walnut complements tan leather

Black shoes with blue or gray suit, brown shoes with khaki pants. Same with belts.

The holster color really only matters to me if the muzzle will show through the bottom; if it will, then I want as little contrast as possible to disguise the rig if cover garment rides up. I guess the same thinking should apply to the grip/holster/frame pattern.
